With the development of society , the generation gap between us and our parents has become a social problem , which also troubles us . There are many differences in our thinking and habits . We often quarral with each other just because of the generation gap . For example , sometimes our parents are unsatisfied with the clothes we wear . They regard them as being odd . On the country , we think they are cool and fashionable . Here is some advice on helping bridge the gap .

Fist , we should respect our parents , which is the virtue of Chinese people . This is the easist to say and the hardest to do . Second , don’t argue with them but try to reach a compromise . Perhaps we and our parents can’t agree on certain things . But we can meet each other halfway . And communicating with our parents as much as possible is also what we should do .

For my part , we are supposed to put ourselves in our parents shoes , which is of great benefit to our mutual(互相的) understanding .
