摘要：An apparatus and process for assembling a first member and a second memberis provided. The first member comprises a fluid distribution part and the second membercomprises an absorbent core member having a window portion therein. The assemblingapparatus comprises a conveyer mechanism for forming a transport path, a firstdeposition mechanism for placing a series of one of the first and second members inspaced apart relation on the conveyer mechanism, and a drum mechanism rotatablymounted adjacent the conveyer mechanism for carrying the other of the first and secondmembers and for depositing the same onto one of the first or second members alreadyplaced on the conveyer mechanism. The apparatus further includes a second depositionmechanism for placing a series of the other of the first and second members on the drummechanism in spaced apart relation and a drive mechanism for the conveyer and the drummechanism for moving in timed relation the first and second members together on theconveyer mechanism and for positioning a portion of the first member in the windowportion of the second member.
