Openfire,smokingandsparksshouldnotbeallowednearthefuelsystemandbatteries.(Speciallywhenloadingbatteries,explosive.)
Opentheradiatorcapwithcarewhentheengineishotasthecoolingsystemispressurised.Thecoolingliquidandlubricationoilofahotenginecausesinjurieswhentouchingtheskin.
Avoidtouchingtheexhaustmanifold,turbochargerandtheotherhotpartsoftheengine.tem.Alwaysdisconnecttheminus(---)wireofthebatterywhendoingserviceorrepairoftheelectricsys-
Whencheckingfuelinjectorsdonotletthejetofhighpressurefuelcontactyourskin.Thefuelpen-etratestheskincausingsevereinjuries.Contactyourdoctorimmediately!
Keeptheenginesurfacescleaninordertoavoidtheriskoffire.
Attemperaturesonexcessof300˚C,e.g.iftheengineisburntbyafire,thevitonsealsoftheengine(e.g.theundermosto---ringoftheoilpressureregulatingvalve)produceveryhighlycorrosivehydrofluo-ricacid.Donottouchwithbarehands,vitonsealssubjectedtoabnormallyhightemperatures.Alwaysuseneoprenerubberorheavydutyglovesandsafetyglasseswhendecontaminating.Washthesealsandthecontaminatedareawitha10%calciumhydroxideorotheralkalisolution.Putallremovedma-terialinsealedplasticbagsanddeliverthemtothepointstatedbytheAuthoritiesconcerned.NOTE!Neverdestroyviton---sealsbyburning!
