HELP
The Multimedia Material is provided to aid the instructors and the students. You can access the material as follows:
• Once you load the CD on your computer, the Flow Chart will appear automatically on your computer screen. However, if you load the files on the CD in your computer, the Flow Chart will not automatically appear on your computer screen.
• If you load the Multimedia files in your computer, you can open the Flow Chart by “clicking” the Flowchart.htm file.
• Once the Multimedia Flow Chart is open, you can access the material as follows:
1. The Interactive Questionnaires, Animations and Applets can be opened directly by moving the mouse over each of the respective buttons. The appropriate chapters or titles of the files will appear. Select the one you want by “clicking” on it.
2. The Lecture Notes can be opened using either of two options :
a. Move the mouse over the Lecture Notes button. The titles of all the
chapters with notes will appear. Select the one you want by “clicking” on it.
This option is not as convenient for accessing and visualizing the notes, and using the Power Point® options. b.
Using your computer browser, go to the folder with the Lecture Notes.
Select the chapter of interest, and open the notes without using the Flow Chart.
This option is more convenient for accessing and visualizing the notes, and using the Power Point® options. • Although you can view, using the Flow Chart, the chapters with MATLAB computer programs, then the titles of the programs in each chapter, and subsequently the source code for each program, you cannot run the MATLAB program directly. To run a MATLAB program of interest, it must be opened using MATLAB.
• Although you can view, using the Flow Chart, the chapters with FORTRAN computer programs, then the titles of the programs in each chapter, and subsequently the source code for each program, you cannot run the FORTRAN program directly. To compile and run a FORTRAN program of interest, it must be opened using a FORTRAN compiler.
